Arrays, Lists or Dictionaries as Properties?

Postby Duffer123 » Tue 21. Feb 2017, 07:10

I think this would be amazing.... especially if also supported in Unity Import plugin!

Hi Duffer123,

Thanks for your suggestion! I agree that arrays, lists or tables would be great as properties. But unfortunately, these property types aren't easy to implement in our current system. That doesn't mean that they will never be implemented, but it will probably not happen in the near future. I will bring this topic up again in our next roadmap meeting.

@Julius,

Thank you for coming back quickly on this.

I do think these additions would add very real value and saleability to Articy against the background of roll-out of the Unity plugin...

More strength to your arm in persuading your fellow developers on this one... ;)

I wanted to give this a +1. We are working in Unreal. The lack of arrays make it difficult to store some of our gameplay objects in Articy. We currently work around this with the strip object, but this requires intermediate objects for every single entry.

Ditto, +1 from me

You can kinda do lists with the strips and slots, but primitive lists would be very handy

Hi Duffer123,

unfortunately no further news regarding primitive lists. And no plans at this time to implement this in the near future.

Sorry to not having a more positive answer

Best regards

Nico

Hi!

Seeing as the last response is nearly a year old, I wanted to ask if there's any update regarding primitive lists. Cause I could really use them.

With best regards,
Tommy
