Big, content heavy VR games are still more the exception than the rule. We had the chance to talk to the awesome team of HELM Systems about their project The SoulKeeper VR. A massive dark fantasy RPG project in an open world – as a VR game! They are currently working towards Early Access 2.0, which will be a major overhaul of the existing game. There will be a new open world campaign as well as new mechanics.

We talked to President & Executive Producer Myron Mortakis, Lead VR programmer Matthew Kress, and VR Programmer & Technical Artist Haczar Criollo about the challenges of developing a VR title, the current state of VR in the video games industry, and how articy:draft plays an important role in their development process.

HELM Systems was founded in 2005 and is an interactive software & entertainment development studio, located in the sunny Southeast Florida.
