Hello,

I'm new to articy:draft.
Yesterday i started my first project with mainly a few Documents.
One thing what bothers me is that every time i hit enter i have a blank line in between my sentences,
Like
or
in html.
Is this something i can change in the settings?

Thank you very much for answering!

Hi Rocco,

Yes, sort of. In the Document View Enter adds a new paragraph, Shift + Enter just creates a new line. This is the same behaviour as in Microsoft Word for example.

Hope that helps and have fun with articy:draft!

Best regards

Nico

Hey Nico,
Oh, thank you very much,
haven't used MS Word for ages.

Is it possible to turn it off somehow?
Cause it annoys me a bit to be honest, when i copy and paste text which i have written in other places, AD splits it with blank lines in between which i have to manually delete afterwards.
It also feels unnatural cause i'm used for ages to press just Return to start a newline, which is not working here anymore.

Unfortunately not. I tried copy and pasting from different application, and its true that newlines from a text editor are converted to a new paragraph.
We tried to work as closely as possible to how MS Word works and you can see the same behaviour in there.
But i will add a feature request, maybe via a shortcut to convert line breaks differently.

Best regards

Nico

Thank you very much for listening,
i used to have mostly textfiles in the beginning of my gamedevelopment and i used scrivener before, which works textwise just as i would expect.
I would suspect if they would change there textengine similar to what MS Word does, it won't be a very popular decision.
